Computer and Video Games still holds the record as the longest running multi-format games magazine in the UK. The first issue came out in November 1981, covering 8-bit Computer Games, with the final proper issue hitting the shelves in October 2004. C&VG changed in style often during its lifespan, owned by all three major games magazine publishers at different times, Emap, Future and Dennis. Pretty much every games console and computer format, including arcade machines, has been covered by C&VG during its lifetime.
