1979 Tabletop game, which plays an Intergalactic version of Battleships. Officially based on the Star Wars movie. This game features an LED display. Thanks to the licence, this is becoming one of the most sought after electronic games of the 1970s.

 

This example of the game is in Excellent, fully tested condition, just some slight discolouring, 8.5/10. Includes manuals, battery cover, rare score sheets and poly inners. Outer box also in nice condition, 7.5/10. 

 

LED Electronic games dominated the toy industry between 1977 and 1983. They use light emitting diodes to create displays made of lights. Later LED games use vacuum formed displays, which allow detailed coloured sprites to be animated on-screen. Today handheld and tabletop games rank amongst the most valuable and collectible retro game formats.
