Computer and Video Games still holds the record as the longest running multi-format games magazine in the UK. The first issue came out in November 1981, covering 8-bit Computer Games, with the final proper issue hitting the shelves in October 2004. C&VG changed in style often during its lifespan, owned by all three major games magazine publishers at different times, Emap, Future and Dennis.
