JC: Just Cartridge, or Just CD, or Just Disk. Means that the game comes without box or instructions. TL: Torn Label, means there is damage to the label on a cartridge or disk. This code is mainly used with cartridge games, like Atari VCS or Colecovision. DBL - Means Double HH - Means Handheld BXD - Means Boxed, this applies to items like Machines and Handhelds, where boxes aren’t common. BT - Means Box Tatty, some damage to the box, maybe sticker damage, or dents and creases. CON - Stands for Condition EX - Excellent, the item is in excellent condition AV - Average, the item is in average condition <?> - Denotes the number of that item in stock. For example: <2> written after an item title means that there are two of those items in stock. ?G - Denotes the number of individual games on a compilation title. For example (3G) written after an item title means that there are 3 individual games within the compilation. NI - No instructions +INS - Means it does have instructions. This is found after items with (JC), meaning that the game does not have a box, but does come with instructions. DSK - Abbreviation for Disk. Disks come in 5.25” and 3.5” varieties, and plug into disk drives. Also known as floppy disks. CART - Abbreviation for Cartridge. A Cartridge is a plastic solid state game, which plugs into a cartridge slot or interface. CAS - Abbreviation for Cassette. Early 8-bit computer games were released on cassette, which are exactly the same format as audio cassettes. LED - This denotes an LED based handheld game. LED stands for light emitting diode, so basically means that the game is light based. Early handheld games use single lights to provide game graphics, while later machines use vacuum compressed screens (VCD) to create colourful graphics made up of pre-designed pixel shapes. LCD - This denotes an LCD based handheld game. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, so basically means that the game is not lit, but made up of dark graphics against a lighter background. Most typical LCD games are the Nintendo Game & Watch range. SNGL - Single screen, appears in the Handheld section. SCR - Abbreviation for Screen, appears in the Handheld section. NW - Not Working PSU - Power Supply Unit. |
