Finally our huge range of consoles and computers has spawned its own mini-site. Retrogames has never had as much hardware in stock, so there hasn’t been a better time to look for that favourite machine or missing interface.

Everything is tested

Virtually every piece of hardware in our listings has been tested. Cassette players have loaded, keyboard keys have been pressed, and speech synthesizers have told us where we can stick our joysticks. For over eight years we have been selling console and computer hardware to collectors, and we always do our best to package items very well, and make sure they arrive with you in the good state they leave us in. Thanks to all of our regular buyers, it’s a real pleasure dealing with you.

Those of you who grew up in the format wars of the early eighties will be familiar with wrestling with rivals over the superiority of your hardware. Those heady days of, “you’re Spectrum sound sucks compared to my 64” vs “Where are the isometric adventures on your C64 then”. You’d have thought that over twenty years on, we’d have all grown up. Unfortunately the wars continue. Spectrum collectors, while maybe not as agressive as in days of old, still have a disliking for Commodore collectors. Is the nostalgia of these playground battles part of the collecting scene. Very probably. Just try asking a dedicated Nintendo fan what he thinks of the Xbox.
