Nintendo World - One of Retrogames’ favourite manufacturers gets its own dedicated mini site. This section of Retrogames is still growing, but with a new listing format and more pictures than ever, it can only get bigger and better.

Famicom For Hardcore only? - It is a great shame that Famicom games are so hard to play for UK/Euro gamers. Japanese Famicom consoles require step down transformers, and an NTSC compatible TV. Converting your NES, while relatively simple, isn’t something every gamer is prepared to do, yet there are thousands of Famicom titles which were never converted to the NES. A possible sollution is to look to the Middle East, where the Famicom remains the height of gaming technology. Arabic pirate consoles are invariably Famicom compatible, and thanks to their matching TV system, work without problem on UK/Euro TV sets. Perhaps you should plan to holiday in Tunisia next year?

Where is the Virtual Boy Stuff! - A format which has been missing from our stocks for a while. With US over stocks now seemingly dried up (give or take baseball and a couple of other poor games), the machine is getting harder to track down games for. We do hope to have some new Japanese titles in soon, but anyone hoping to pick up a Super Space Invaders or Gundam should go back to the bidding wars on ebay. Is any game worth $800? Those of you who picked up Virtual Bowling from us a few years ago for £100, should be rubbing your hands together!
