1981 Tabletop game, which plays a two player version of Space Invaders. This game features a large multi-coloured display. This is an unusual Hales branded version of this classic Entex tabletop. 

 

This example of the game is Excellent condition, fully tested and in full working order. Just slightly unresponsive direction buttons, but still work with some patience,  8/10 overall. Includes battery cover, manual & Poly inner.

Outer box does have some light wear, 7/10.

 

LED Electronic games dominated the toy industry between 1977 and 1983. They use light emitting diodes to create displays made of lights. Later LED games use vacuum formed displays, which allow detailed coloured sprites to be animated on-screen. Today handheld and tabletop games rank amongst the most valuable and collectible retro game formats.
