** Astro Wars by Grandstand - Boxed / Faulty 1981 Tabletop game, which plays a fantastic version of Space Invaders. This game features a large multi-coloured display. This game was incredibly popular with school boys back in the early 1980s.
This example of the game is in Excellent physical condition, close to 10/10. Unfortunately, it is not working and won't power up. Includes battery cover and original box also in Excellent condition, 8/10.
LED Electronic games dominated the toy industry between 1977 and 1983. They use light emitting diodes to create displays made of lights. Later LED games use vacuum formed displays, which allow detailed coloured sprites to be animated on-screen. Today handheld and tabletop games rank amongst the most valuable and collectible retro game formats. ** Items are listing in our Bargain Basement section.
