1980 SUPER RARE Silver series Flagman LCD handheld game. This game was the second Game & Watch ever released and is famous for having terrible sales, selling only a tiny fraction of the numbers of the first game in the series, Ball. The character in the game raises his flags into one of four positions and game is very typical of the time, learn and repeat an ever extending sequence of movements and notes using the four buttons. It's like pocket sized LCD version of MB's classic Simon.
This example of the game is in phenomenal condition, by far the best we've ever seen of this title. During testing we found the LCDs to be dark and clear, sound loud and controls responsive. The only very slight issue is a small discoloured patch in the back of the screen - typical of nearly all these older LCD games as time takes its tole. It does not interfere with the sprites and is not noticeable at all when the game is powered up. The metal facia that surrounds the controls is amazing, like new, as is the orange body, it's very close to a 10/10 perfect game.
This set includes the original manual in Excellent condition and sealed batteries. The game still has its original plastic bag, and th poly inner is Excellent, but more importantly, so is the box. It's one of the best examples of a Silver Range box we've ever seen. Bright and colourful with no sun fading on any edges, and all flaps intact, 9/10. There is an old Japanese price label, and while we haven't attempted it, we believe it could be removed with care.
