Commodore CDTV Console - Boxed *Nr MINT
1991 Multi-Media games console. Commodore's rival to the Philips CDi based on a 32-bit Amiga. Incredibly expensive it sold in limited numbers. This strange black hybrid would eventually evolve into the CD32 games console.

Now sometimes we see things we've never seen before, and probably never will again. This is one such item - a boxed example of the full CDTV set up, and I know what you're thinking, who has the space to keep that massive box thirty five years!

The set consists of a large card outer box with a thin colour card giant slipcase which closes it. Inside the large card box are proper branded inner boxes - for the console, the keyboard, the separate disc drive and other parts. While the outer box is quite worn, and the slip case has some slight tears and wear, the inner boxes are like new - as are their contents! Amazing.

Let's start with the console, we unwrapped it to test it, and it was fully working, booting the included starter disc straight away. Condition is close to 10/10, there are signs it may have been used, but without doubt the best example we've ever had in stock in our thirty year history. The outer box is 10/10, with poly inners and foam wrap which was still sealed around the console. There is no manual included with the console, but there are power and AV cables.

The wireless remote control is in a separate box, with the disc caddy, starter disc and and a stereo audio cable. The wireless controller is still sealed in its polythene bag - to brand new. The box is also perfect. Another smaller white box houses the black official CDTV mouse which is also in perfect condition.

The black Commodore keyboard is housed in another large box, again, in 10/10 condition with poly inners and original bag for the keyboard. The Keyboard looks unused.

The CD-1411 Disc Drive, which allows you to boot regular Amiga floppy games, is in brand new condition. The outer box is 10/10, its instructions are still in their poly bag, the drive itself looks like it has never been removed from this box - a proper MINT example of this drive. Amazing!

While the console manual is missing, there is the official warranty in its envelope along with a flyer for the Miracle Piano Keyboard peripheral.

If you ever wanted to own a boxed example of a super rare Commodore console - this is the one to have. The CDTV sold less than 30,000 units in the UK, and you have to wonder how few - if any - of the others which remain have their original boxes.

Note that  at over 12kg this is also a very heavy machine, so postage will be expensive overseas.
