You have may have experienced some down time for the site recently. Sadly this is thanks to persistent DOS or Denial Of Service Attacks, where the site literally gets bombarded by millions of keypresses in an attempt to bring it down. The site is programmed to close down and protect itself during these sporadic events, which you may have seen when you tried to get onto the website, you will usually see a 'Gateway Time Out' message. The good news is the server then resets itself, blocks the rogue addresses the attack is coming from, and reboots the site, usually within ten minutes.
To stem the flow of these attacks (seems to be happening about 2-5 times a day at the moment) we have blocked many European countries from accessing the site. If you are one of our regular European customers - huge apologies for this. We do hope to have the site opened up again soon. If you use a VPN, you will be able to access the site by setting it to the UK.
The answer to these continued outages is to launch our long awaited new website, and I'm pleased to report work on Retrogames 2.0 has restarted in earnest, and we really hope to have the new site live before the end of the year. Fingers crossed.

9th September 2026 GET READY FOR NEW LISTINGS
Don't you just love this time of year, cooler days and cosy evenings, the smell of bonfires when you put out the bins, and Retrogames gets loads of new listings ready for Winter.
We've got hundreds of rare titles coming across the site in the coming weeks, with another mammoth collection heading our way before the end of the year.
We are also getting ready to relaunch our Retrogames Ebay shop with clearance items, and a lot of hardware we just need to shift to make some space, we will keep you updated on this new Update page when it is ready.
