Commodore CDTV Console + Extras 1991 Multi-Media games console. Commodore's rival to the Philips CDi based on a 32-bit Amiga. Incredibly expensive it sold in limited numbers. This strange black hybrid would eventually evolve into the CD32 games console. This is the even rarer full set up.
This example is in Excellent, fully tested condition. The console is Excellent, 9/10, just a couple of light dents to the top of the metal casing - looks much worse in the pics than it does when looking at the console. Unusually it includes all the rare add-ons which turn it back into an Amiga. There is the black CDTV official keyboard, the CDTV black mouse, and the very rare black 3.5 inch CDTV disc drive. Also includes two disc shuttles / caddys, power and AV cables and infra-red CDTV remote. It also includes an additional Mouse/Joystick adapter board - uninstalled, the official starter disc, Sim City original game with manual, Hutchinson Encylopedia, and a set of software back-ups CD Discs.
The console and controllers performed brilliantly during our bench tests, loading three games at the first attempt. The remote control is fully functioning. Solid and robust digital AV output, there is also RF available as a socket. We also tested for endurance, the console ran perfectly for eight hours straight. We tested the external drive too, which booted software without any issues. The back-up CD discs include most of the greatest titles released for it: Sherlock Holmes : Space Wars : Guy Spy : Defender Of The Crown 2 : Fantastic Voyage : Wrath Of The Demon : Chaos In Andromeda : Battlestorm : Case Of The Cautious Condor : Rise Of The Dragon : Dune : Defender Of The Crown : Psycho Killer : Lemmings : Prehistorik : Falcon : CGSP : Prey
Note that at over 10 kg this is also a very heavy machine, so postage will be expensive overseas.
