PC Engine LT - Boxed - Fault
1991 Tabletop games console, for many the holy grail of collectable consoles. The desirability probably comes from its quirky desktop design, harking back to the LED Tabletops of the early 1980s. The screen not only plays games, but has a TV tuner too. The console is compatible with all Japanese HuCards, the Super CDRom drive, and even has a TV Output socket.

Thanks to a ridiculously high retail price, this console is rumoured to have sold less than two thousand units at retail, making it one of the rarest consoles ever released.

This example is in incredible physical condition, absolutely beautiful, no marks or wear of any kind, like it's just been sitting in its box for decades, 10/10. It still has the original screen protector film in place!!

However, it is faulty. While the green power light works fine, the screen does not display anything. There is a fault on pretty much all examples of this console, where the capacitors have to be replaced as they leak over time. As far as we can tell, since around 2005, ALL PCE LT consoles require their capacitators to be changed to function, and we believe this is showing the same fault. There are several videos and websites showing how to change the capacitors in the LT.

Yes, it's an expensive repair project, but once complete and working in this condition, its true value is around £4000-£6000.

Includes manuals, official power supply, official power jack size adapter, poly inner with lid, and original box.

The card box is in holding together well, see pics, 7/10.
